I have this 3 year old JVC head unit that came out of another vehicle.
What I like about it is, it isn't fancy, and has a usb port for my mp3 player, which is what I want.

I neither want or need bluetooth (although this hu has it), and I don't need or want to connect a phone to it.
I just want to be able to connect my mp3 to it, which as I said, it has a usb port.

Problem is, because it was in an older vehicle, instead of running the plug in connector to the plug in connector that most all vehicles have now, the plug connector was removed, ad then the unit wired into existing wires in the vehicle.(speakers, hot, and ground), plus amp.

Now what I need to know is, what the measurements are of the stock radio in the vette.
I have not removed it, and won't until I have some idea if this head unit will fit and work, and what I would do about connecting it to the stock existing wiring

This JVC head unit measures 7 1/4" wide, 7" deep, ans 2" high.
Does that sound like it would fit without a whole lot of modding?
Sure could use some input before deciding how I want to proceed in getting a hu in place of the stock unit.
Your advise is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a standard single din HU, should fit no problem.
