saw This after golfing...
After I played golf today, walked out to the parking lot, to my C5; and saw this parked nearby.
It's a Porsche Carrera GT. I'd heard of them, but knew little about them. Went home and read a little about them. One article said the 2004 year model, averaged $448,000 MSRP. Mid engine supercar, it was described as in a couple articles I read. Wow....$$$$
Of course I don't know what model year this one is. I've long knew Porsche makes some really quality sports cars. Personally, I just never cared for the lines, or appearance of most of their cars.
But, I have to admit, this Carrera Gt looks sleek, fast, and expensive...
I still love the looks of my C5 next to it, though...
Don
ps: I don't know who belonged to the case of beer in the one photo. Not mine...

The license plate frame is from the CHP 11-99 Foundation. It's an organization that donates money to the families of fallen California Highway Patrol Officers. With an $1800 donation you get a "lifetime membership" to the organization and you get the license plate frame. It's a great organization that does good work.
I've heard, but I'm not certain, that it could possibly be a good way to get some "professional courtesy" when stopped for traffic violations. But don't quote me on that.

I'm sure that's a kick in the pants to drive, but it doesn't do a damned thing for me in the looks department. The front view isn't too bad, but the **** end is completely disjointed and busy.

Donald, I agree, the lines of your C5 hold up quite well next to the Porsche.

Nice photos. What kinda beer was it?
As pertains to the Porsche, I'm sure its a nice car but it's not one I've ever been attracted to... The Ferraris, lanbos blow it away. Not saying the Germans don't know what they're doing style wise and that the Italians do but yes its true. Its all personal preference I suppose. I do like the Benz roadsters and if I had that kinda scratch Porsche certainly wouldn't be the sportcar I would own. Then again I don't so its a mude point.
I was really jonesing teeing them up today. 50's and 20 mph wind kinda put the kebosh on it. Where did you play? Is it a nice track? What did you shoot ? Any birdies?
Thanks for sharing the post and photos. Enjoy your week.

PS Unrelated interesting stat. The over and under bet in tonight's NFL game was 50. Looks like the Broncos and Manning way get that themselves!

Cool. Good round, what you shoot? Tips? You must be a single digit player unless its an easier track ?
What's the town, name of it, I'll check the rating & slope? Hahahaha
I wonder what PorschieBoy shot? -2 under.
Thanks. Later guys
Back to $500k Porches in Golf parking lots
PS Memo, I heard through the grapevine that Don is a sandbagger he's really a scratch golfer.
When they say "3 others" they probably shot sub par.
Bring your wallet when you tee'm up with Don. Wink.

I'm not a Porsche fan by any means, but that's one car that could have a garage parking space next to my C5.
