Default new air induction question??

I plan on installing my new air induction on my 01 tonight. Its the kind with 2 filters on a Y type piece. I have been told that I may have to reprogram the computer for it to run properly due to the increased air flow.
Is this True??? and how do I do it??

The computer will be able to adjust itself for that intake. Very little air flow gain with them. It will sound meaner at wot.

Unless you also install headers and a new catback system you won't have to get a tune. I have the same CAI and installed it with no problem, and no need for a tune. I've been using it for nearly 3 years.

I replaced mine with the Blackwing years ago and never reprogrammed. Car runs great, a HUGE improvement in throttle response over stock. I remember reading that the car is smart enough to adjust to this mod.

install and enjoy.

Just make sure everything is tight when you put it back together, and it would be a good idea to clean the MAF and TB while you have everything apart.

No need to get a tune. After install, just drive the car around for a while and the car's computer will adjust itself to any increased airflow.
