Lots of mutual interests here. Just changed the oil in the "Vette today to store for the winter. ' Hunted elk in the Selleway in '88. I see your bull lost his G-5 during the rut. I'm planning to install different wheels during the winter. I'd love to visit Yellowstone during the winter; thus far I haven't made it.

What I don't get is the guys who literally seal them away until Spring. Why not fire it up and take it out during the inevitable Indian summer? I know 99% of you don't get jack for snow anyway, I come from Munising MI. People drive quite a distance to snowmobile there because it tends to suck most other places. Here in CO I just wait until the snow melts and most of the dirt gets blown off the roads to bring it out in the winter. We don't get shjt for snow here in CO either. Up in the mountains they get a decent amount, but anywhere else is a joke.

Two reasons.... The first is insurance. I'm with State Farm, and they offer what's called "withdrawl from use". That's where I sign a form that I won't drive the car, but "fire and theft" remains on the car, as well as a minimum insurance, so I can keep the plates on it, and don't have to deal with DMV twice a year. Secondly, there's enough salt dust on the roads, even when they're dry, that it gets into all the nooks and crannies of the car, and will still eat away at the car....

We had 130 inches of snow last year and 70+ days below zero. That"s why!

Florida isn't large enough, or have enough jobs for all Corvette owners. Plus you can keep those gators and dammed big snakes!!

I remember in 1995 when I lived in NJ I had to get a full size desert storm Hummer to be able to drive around that winter in the snow. A lot of fun, but now I like the snowless Florida Vette driving better. I don't mind the gators or snakes, just the big tropical rainstorms and hurricanes every once in a while.
