Default Start on one thing, discover another

Today started off with the install of a new electric fuel pressure sender for my guage. While installing it, I noticed my brake fluid reservoir has spider webbing all over it. Now I have a new reservoir/master cylinder ordered. Noticed my WP leaking the other day, have one on order also. Did some touch up painting on my rotor hats and calipers, while wheels were off I noticed grease had slung around from a small tear in the CV boot. New CV boot on order. One of my shafts on one of my electric cutouts broke, had to have it welded last weekend. At least it's easy stuff.

How many of you have been through this haha

Like the book I used to read to my kids, Wacky Wednesday. It all began with the shoe on the wall....
Looks like you had one of those. But it seems you are taking it all with a sense of humour. Besides it's fun to do all that stuff.

Absolutely. I really enjoy working on the car. I was extremely surprised I hadn't noticed the spiderweb cracking on the brake fluid reservoir until today though, I'm always out playing with the car. Oh well

Sometimes it just happens that things hit all at once. Hopefully when you get those things fixed, the car will be good to go for a long time.

I am the same, always doing something to one of my cars or another. My Corvette is pretty reliable and needs little work, the Mustang however is another story. It started with a rough idle. After a new carb, machine the leaky intake manifold, block the egr valve, replace the plugs and wires, replace the points with elx ignition, repaint the topside of the engine, replace all the engine stickers it starts and idles like a dream. I'm sure it was the stickers that did the trick .

I have a set of headers and a Vararam for the Corvette in the garage. Considering what cam to buy, saw a nice splitter and side skirts that I want. It's going to be a great winter!

I would rather pull the heads off an engine than clean up the kitchen. Just dont tell my wife. She is convinced that this is all "routine maintenance" and it is really just an excuse to stay out of the kitchen.

.......and people wonder why us "northerners" don't mind taking the car off the road during the winter!

Mine all started with the fuel pump failure 4 weeks ago...

Now I have a new clutch, fuel pump, heads, cam, manifold, throttle body, headers and clutch master cylinder.

It's a sickness with no cure.

That pic of your brake fluid reservoir is exactly how mine looks! I too can't imagine how it happened. Maybe heat from the longtubes? I really don't know

Not mine. I scan C7-C4 every day and I recalled that thread.
C4 plastics are breaking down with age these days. I had one where I pulled the plastic connect near the starter and it just came apart in my hand. Plastics on the dash starts cracking. This was a garaged kept car all it's life. Nature of the beast.

Heat is the enemy for plastics. Both extremes actually...hot & cold. Long tubes? Yes, it contributes to the problem.
