Tape sticks and holds it 'extremely' well ! Don't worry about it falling off it prepared and put on correctly.

your front emblem is installed using double sided tape and if you have BSM them too

if it works for factory parts i'm sure your plate will be fine if proper prep work is done

I put one on my 01 and didn't get it on quite straight and had a hard time getting it off. I tried using 3M adhesive remover and it didn't affect it one bit. Got some new strips of double sided tape but haven't quite figured out how to get it straight with the world so it sits on top of my tool box waiting for me to get enough courage to do it again. But when I put it on last time it didn't take much to get it to stick. If anyone has some suggestions on how to get it right the first time, I'm listening.

Says you. I like the cheesy logo and shiny plate. Looks much better at night when the lights from the following car light it up. That's why they sell so many, not many agree with you. Besides, why would anyone put a Corvette exhaust plate on a Harley?

I would like to buy an exhaust enhancer plate for my C5, because I don't like seeing that ugly black area between my exhaust tips. Anywho.... I've noticed that most of the plates you can buy simply affix to the area under there with double sided tape, while a select few, seem to have a bigger "upper" area, with what appear to be tabs for screws or fasteners of some kind. I've never been a huge fan of attaching things solely with double sided tape, so I'd like to buy a plate that attaches more securely. Can anyone shed some light as to how exactly the ones with the tabs mount up in there? Or am I being ridiculous for worrying about the double sided tape holding up? I'm only weary because in my adolescence years ago, I lost a smoked tail light cover on the highway because it was only affixed with double sided tape.
Mine was on the car when I bought it in 2008. 6 years later and it's holding strong.

Don't let the idea of tape scare you. The adhesive 3M adhesive uses is incredibly sticky.

They sell a lot of fake port holes and fender vents too, but you're right, must just be me that's wrong.

I didn't say anyone would put a corvette logo on a Harley, I just meant it's about the same as most of the tacky crap those guys do.

I never realized my car looked "cheesy' until I read your post. I'm headed out to the garage to pull mine off. Sometimes it just takes a good whack upside the head to realize your shortcomings.

Glad to hear it!

The groupthink on this site is hilarious. Guess I'm a "bad guy" that "ruins threads" because I don't always agree with "popular guys" on here

I don't think it is because you disagree, It is how you come across sometimes.

Leave enough cash and I'll gladly do that. I'll even give you both sets

Can't say I'm interested in Honda, or any other Japanese brand, though
