I can't believe that authorities have not been able to track down this damn "tree" yet! How many C5's are going to be totaled by this race-ist? We have the description not to mention photographic evidence time and again and still it roams free! It does not even try to hide after it takes out another C5, just hangs around after the deed like "What are you going to do about it?"

I would take the money, buy a later model one, and if you have the funds, do the buyback and part it out, depending upon condition and extras you had before the accident.
Your wheels look OK, so the chrome wheels (if not scuffed up) will probably bring $200-$400.
You did not say how many miles on the motor. Depending on mileage, you may be able to get a grand out of the motor. More if you include the tranny. You could also take the motor, give it to speed shop, and let them built it up for you.
Interior -- If the seats, HVAC, etc. are in good condition, you may get up to a grand here total.

I already bought the car back from them as i can give it to them anytime, it has 87,000 on it 6-speed, engine is flawless, as for selling it out right i would have to think about all my options first. Its hard I loved the car, i was planing on selling it soon but it just sucks that i have no choice now.
If you really loved the car , I mean really. Commit to rebuilding
your vette. It's a big project but it can be done. I know I rebuilt
mine. Now, a pro would have a hard time telling that my vette
was in a big wreck. Good luck, what ever you do.

Sorry about your loss. You might be able to make some money parting out but only you can decide if it is worth the trouble to store it, break down the parts, worry about shipping and getting your money. Personally like the others I would take the money and look for something else. I hope you are OK. The damage looks like it was a pretty substantial hit and I am sure you are at least sore.
