Personally? I'd count my lucky stars that it wasn't worse, take the check and start looking for another.

glad you're ok.

It does not even try to hide after it takes out another C5, just hangs around after the deed like "What are you going to do about it?"

I would take the money, buy a later model one, and if you have the funds, do the buyback and part it out, depending upon condition and extras you had before the accident.

Your wheels look OK, so the chrome wheels (if not scuffed up) will probably bring $200-$400.

You did not say how many miles on the motor. Depending on mileage, you may be able to get a grand out of the motor. More if you include the tranny. You could also take the motor, give it to speed shop, and let them built it up for you.

Interior -- If the seats, HVAC, etc. are in good condition, you may get up to a grand here total.

If you decide to part it out I will take the red targa top. Mines got damage really bad when it decided to fly off my car during rush hour.

You loved the car but you were planning on selling.
If you really loved the car , I mean really. Commit to rebuilding
your vette. It's a big project but it can be done. I know I rebuilt
mine. Now, a pro would have a hard time telling that my vette
was in a big wreck. Good luck, what ever you do.
