C5 Frustration
My 2001 has been a source of headaches, pains in the backside and various other issues. But as of last weekends repair of a dim AC display I am at a profound loss. My C5 is fixed! I have nothing to tinker with on my off time. Oh! The humanity.

I have to finally say this just to give a "fun" experience for the lack of a better phrase. I purchase my 03 Z06 Memorial day weekend in 2012. It had 22435 miles on it. Bought it from a wholesaler in Birmingham. All I know for sure was : it was originally registered in NJ in early 03. Had those 22K miles put on it from that point until late May of 2012 when I bought it. Clean carfax. Had after market wheels shed with Michelin PS tires like new.
As far as the car goes the "only" factory part I have had to replace because of failure is the reverse switch on the trans. It is tied in with the auto dimmer on the rear view mirror and that's how I found it was bad lol. Today I am at 50075 miles and I have enjoyed this car like no other I have ever owned and that encompasses from my first car a 1970 AMX 390 4 speed, multiples of every gen F body but the 5th, 87 T Type Regal plus other odd ball cars. This thing feels like a go cart on rails and I plan on keeping it for years and continue to mod the hell out of it motor, trans and interior. About the time I am "finished" I can buy a used C7 Z06 and start again! Thankfully I am at that point in life I can park it and keep it instead of have to sell it to finance its new stable mate.

Keep your fingers crossed that you don't have any more problems for a while. Gives you more time to get behind the wheel and drive the car for enjoyment.

At least we have the Forum to help solve these problems instead of throwing away thousands of dollars at the dealership.
