Default Key Fob remote unlock question

When my car is in the garage, and I place my keys on the key hook inside the house (just on the other side of an interior wall in the house), it unlocks the car. I looked for an option to disable the "passive" (is that actually called passive?) unlock/lock feature, but the only option I see on the dash options menu is to either unlock both doors at the same time, or just the driver's door. No option to just not unlock them.

This has bothered me other times as well, such as when the keys are in my pocket and I'm washing the car. I step away and it locks. I get close and it unlocks. Over and over. It's annoying.

If I want to lock the car, or unlock it, I'll use the buttons on the fob. I'd prefer my car not deciding for me.

Any solution to this?

Thanks,
Scott

You must have the optional passive FOB, yes? Slide the switch to off if so.

I'm laughing at myself as I slide the switch in the other position.

Thanks grantv.

That's OK, I'm laughing at you also...
The illusive off switch.
My FOB's are without the passive, and I'm OK with that.

Once you remove the belly button lint from the passive key fob, you can see the on off switch.

Sometimes it's something very easy to solve an issue.
