Default Tire Pressure Issue

TPM indicated LF Flat but the tire is not flat. After driving a while the TPM indicates good pressure and the message stops... Any Ideas...

I had same issue with one of my tires, i cleared the message/reset and it never came back but i replaced tires, wheels and new tps. I agree the batteries are probably at end of life.

It is winter time and when cold the pressure in the tire goes down maybe 3 to 5 lbs and as you drive it the tire warms up and pressure goes up.

Check the tire pressure when the tires are cold. Make sure it reads 30 psi and then see if the message appears. If it does and you know you have the right air pressure in the tire, could very well be that the TPS is going bad.

Before presuming the battery has gone bad, the first question to ask and have answered is how old is the sensor. Then go from there.

The OP said the sensor reported the tire flat, not low on pressure. Your explanation would be valid if low on pressure but not flat.
