Really? Drive a few C5's and get back to us. I've driven in my brother-in-law's 2011 2SS, and I didn't care for it one bit. Blind spots, underwhelming power, and don't get me started on the handling.

I'm just the opposite with the new Camaros and Mustangs. I think Ford ruined the latest 'Stang by cutting down the rear of the roof/trunk line too much, and the front fenders look too wide for the rest of the car. The previous Mustang was way better looking IMO. The new Camaros look nice, but not as nice as a C5...none of today's muscle cars look as nice as the C5 IMO...

Spend a few bucks more if you're looking at a 2000 Vette and get a 2001 and up model.

I agree. The LS3> LS1, even with the extra weight of the Camaro. On track, might be different story.

If it were the C5 Z06 you were comparing, it would put a whooping on a 2011 Camaro SS.

It's subjective based on whether one wants a muscle car or sports car experience.

If you decide to go with the Camaro, don't forget to put some cool accents on the fake gills.

I suppose. Corvettes do both better though. Just giving you a hard time. I wish you good luck in your quest. A C5 would make a great partner to your Camaro.
