My First "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" - Multiple Codes - Any Help greatly appreciated
Hey guys
so owned this car about a month, been dirving it quite regularly as were getting great weather here.
Anyways today after about 5 minutes of driving the engine light comes up and its been there ever since.
I pulled the codes and this is what ive got:
1. 10-PCM- PO442 HC
2. A1 RDCM- 5 codes -B2283 H-B2285 H- B2263 H- B2265 H-U1064 H
3. A0-LDCM- 2 codes- B2282 H - U1064 H
4. B0-RFA - 7 codes - B0605 H - U1255 H - U1096 H- U1064 H - U1016 H - C2110 H- C2115 HC
Im googling them all to find out but getting led around to confusing threads with mixed messages.
Can anyone help me diagnose these please?
Thanks a lot in advance
Oh and by the way , the car seems to be running fine, but its burning a hell of a lot more fuel then it should, I thought it was the 02 sensors but what do I know ......

Did you put gas in today? Check, the gas cap tighten till it clicks several times. Also, the drivers door grab the black accordian tube and shake it. Restart the car and clear all codes, drive it then recheck for any codes and let us know.

No need to top it off, just make sure the cap is tight. If you were working on the car with the hood or doors open for a while also charge the battery, as mentioned these cars do not like low voltage.

Would ignoring the - change oil- and 0% oil life left trigger a check engine light eventually?
The car was originally at 8% oil life left, then it went down to 0% eventually - then it started reading -CHANGE OIL NOW- would this cause a check engine light eventually?
Ive ignored it because the previous owner used synthetic and the oil is still fine,
Thanks

Looks like to me, most , if not all of those codes are old codes. That's what the "H" is after them. As stated above, it looks like they're probably associated with a low or dead battery. Clear the codes and see if any of them show up again.

lol good one.
Well I do have some good news , after resetting all the codes, the engine light has went away.
I took it for a hard drive, giving it lots of gas and foot , and so far so good.
Thanks a lot for the help guys , the quick responses were great.
The bad news is it cost me $75 to get my damn keys out of the car

c5 Many codes
You can pull the battery out and the battery mount / holder. Look at the cable trunks under the battery mount. They may have acid all over them. I've read that this causes many erroneous codes. Mine had acid on the cable sets

Don't worry about the RDCM and LDCM codes unlless windows and door locks are misbehaving. Anyway they are all history. Write them down, clear them and see if anything comes back.

If the car tells you to change the oil, and you have no idea when it was last changed, change the oil. Don't go for any spirited drives etc, change the oil
BTW, once you change the oil, if the DIC hasn't been reset, you can reset it by turning on the ignition (don't start car) and press the accelerator 3 times and the oil life will reset to 100 %.
Now change the oil

I recommend you pull codes while the engine is still RUNNING. Most codes will only show as H and not C if they are pulled after the car is shut off. Also some codes will no even show up like some related t the EBCM once the engine is off..
