Default New Coolant Reservoir

Well, found out yesterday that my reservoir has a crack where the top tube connects. I have a new tank on order, and should be here soon.

Once the new tank is on, do I need to burp the system, or just fill it and go?

Suction as much of the coolant from the tank as you can, disconnect hoses, remove old tank, install new tank, reconnect hoses and refill tank with coolant. No need to "bleed the system."

Pretty simple and fast job.

Changed the reservoir today. When I took it out, I noticed an electrical connection under the tank, but it was not connected to anything. Is this from the early years when a sensor was connected to the tank?

Perhaps a previous owner cheaped out and replaced the OEM tank with an early year used tank when the OEM tank failed..
Yes, mine is a 2003. The tank was original, as it was identical to the one I bought. The connector was not connected to anything, just laying on the frame portion under the tank. It was white, if that makes any difference.
