Was told oil pan was leaking oil
Took my 98 in to have a leak checked and the mechanic told me the oil pan was leaking he said he tryed to tighten the bolts but were tight. So I brought it home and put it away for the winter but I put a cardboard under the engine. After 2 months on the cardbourd there were maybe 7 or 8 drips my question is has anyone had any luck with a product like Bars Leak its concentrated rear main seal repair stops all oil leaks add it to the oil. If it was a big leak probably put new oilpan gasket in but for a small leak is it worth a try.

Why take the chance - get it fixed right and not have to worry about it again.

Old cars leak oil. A drop every week really won't hurt anything. Fix it if it bothers you and it doesn't cost too much. I had a couple drops under mine. I tightened the oil filter and the drip stopped. Make sure it isn't that. Switch your oil to Mobil1 High Mileage. It might soften up the seal after awhile.
