Here's my experience with it..

Wheel diameter - 19"
Wheel offset - OEM C6 GS (+59?)
Tire size - 325/30/19
Stock/lowered - lowered on STANCE coilovers
Does it rub? If so, inside/outside - Yes. Rubs inside (installing 5mm spacers to resolve this summer) and also rubs on the outside on dips (will increase damper on coilover this summer for this)
Use spacers? If so, what thickness - will be using 5mm
Do they stick out past the fender? If so, how much - yes, haven't measure. 1"?
What camber setting do you have in the rear - not sure. wasn't as much negative camber as I wanted to fix inner rubbing.
is the car minitubbed - Nope.

IMO, I love the way the tires look sticking out past the fender lip. As others have state, to each their own. It's your car, and you should mod it so that it makes you happy, not others.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the flared fenders. Also, if you go with the wider tires, I highly recommend some L5 or modded C6 splash guards!

dreamy.

hey bud,

i bought stance coil overs and looking to install them, did you do it yourself or have a shop do it. whats funny is that im buying those oem grand sport rims too. aha love the look u got. wanted to ask you if the 5mm spacer is for the front or back? i know ppl use a 20 mm for the back. where are you experiencing the rubbing, front or rear tires.

thanks

Sal

Hey Sal,

I did the coil overs myself on jackstands. It wasn't too bad. Getting the front tranverse leaf spring out involved some cussing from what I remember. I had to call the guys at Stance a couple times. They were pretty friendly about answering my questions.

Also, consider if the car will be lower once the coilovers are in. I set the ride height a bit lower when I installed them. It was tricky getting the car off of the jackstands once it had been lowered a bit... Then, I had to devise a way to jack it back up and lowered it still more. Once I had the height roughly where I wanted, and it had settled from a few weeks of driving, I took it to a shop to get an alignment done. They had to reduce the negative camber a bit because of the rubbing on the inside.

I now use 2x12s to drive up on (1 in the rear and 2 stacked and offset in the front), then jack the front using a low profile jack, then the rear.. Shoot me a PM if you want some more info..

It's the rears that rub. The fronts seem fine. With a 20mm spacer, the rears would stick out like 2" and wouldn't look too good, IMO.

Oh, and I have the car up on jackstands again recently to reduce the dampening. The bolts on the top of the coilovers are a b--$@!

Thanks bro. I guess I gotta b carefull after the coilovers go in to lower the tires on some stacked 2x4 or something. Will keep that in mind though thanks!

I don't think they'll rub with the hub adapter. I'm only being the spacer caus my wide rear fenders just arrived. Read up on here. Most guys as a 20mm to have a 19x12 rim c6z spec sit flush with new fender.

I know coilovers are generally stiffer than OEM suspension. If I set the ride to be at its most softest setting. What do u recommend I do? And will that in your opinion still b stiffer than OEM suspension.

I don't plan to track it but love the idea of independent suspension especially on hard cornering.

Will I need an alignment u think once new rims and tires go in and the stance c/o with car lowered?

Thanks bud
