I think it should say what you and your family want it to say. Don't think because some of helped out with the cost we need any input. We did it out of respect for your dad. But your thoughts are what matter on the brick(s).

I told them to go with it. Should have some info soon on where it will be. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go see it.
I may have a work trip out to Akron soon. Maybe I can road trip from there. Seems like a 6 hour drive. I've never been to Kentucky before lol

Burning Brakes
Oh my goodness. When I first got my Corvette, as a bright eyed 26 year old, I put it up on jack stands to change the oil, and one of the rear shocks failed under the weight of the wheel because of its age.
Mr. Bill was one of the relentlessly kind souls who almost always chimed in to help me with electrical, mechanical, or just ****ling little car problems in the years afterwards. What a relentlessly selfless, relentlessly wonderful guy. Prayers for the family. If there's any donation being collected or anything, make sure it's publicized as I don't check in here every day, and would love to contribute something.

Update the brick is done. It is not placed yet but will be for the labor day weekend corvette meet. They can do an unveiling then too if requested. If anyone is planning on going I will have the location of the large brick very soon. I'd love for anyone who plans on being there to snap some pictures. I unfortunately can't be there.
I also need to get off my butt and send some thank yous.
This is awesome, and on the 6 month anniversary of my fathers passing.
Kris
Thank you everyone who contributed to this. You're all my heros.

Instructor
Kris, I've been absent from this forum for about a year and a half and just stumbled across this. To say I'm stunned would be an understatement! While I don't recall much direct interaction with your dad, I did read most of his posts. He provided an encyclopedia's worth of helpful information to the members here, and hardly a week went by when he didn't post something in one thread or another that made me smile. This place just won't be the same without him!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I don't need to be thanked, I was honored to contribute, and happy to do so, Kris. RIP Bill! Brick looks great!

That looks great Kris. I look forward to seeing where it's placed. I really hope you get to go see it someday.
I too, need no thank you's, as I know what you're feeling and was glad to have helped in my small way.

Dear Kris,
Thank you for your purchase of a National Corvette Museum Commemorative brick. The success of the Museum depends on the generous support of persons like you.
Your brick is located in Section 76 of the walkway at the National Corvette Museum. These bricks represent the widespread support from individuals, clubs, and businesses across America and the world.
Your contribution is very important and helps further the mission of the Museum to celebrate the Corvette’s invention and to preserve the legendary automobile’s past, present, and future.
We appreciate your interest in becoming a part of Corvette history. Again, many thanks for your support. Hope you can visit us soon!
