Wagon wheels
I used to have chrome WAGON WHEELS.
I referred to them as WIDE SPOKE WHEELS.
I switched them out to CHROME OEM C6 wheels and tires
on my C5.
I’ve always liked the so called wagon wheels.
I used to do my annual survey on what peoples
opinions were. Almost nobody liked them. One comment was
“They should melt them down and make them into lug nuts”
So, even though I don’t have them, I’m still wondering if that opinion exists.
What do you guys think of them now?

One of the great C5 debates! Right up there with black or chrome, alternate logos...
I didn't like them new and that opinion hasn't changed.

There are worse wheels than wagon wheels. Not their best design, though.
These were the worst Corvette wheels:

Melting Slicks
I love mine so much that I could not bear to get rid of them when they got swapped for something that looked rather less like 1970's pick up wheels, so they are still in my garage.
But I lie, in reality nobody wants them, so there they sit, complete with TPMS sensors and near bald tires.

I have them on my car. Initially I planned on swapping them out. After owning them, I've kinda of grown found of them.
Maybe I feel bad for them because they are so ugly?

Why do you care? You don't have them anymore.

I have a set painted gloss black that don't look bad at all. I use them as my winter wheels. Actually they are lighter than my Chinese cast 18/19s and the car rides much better with them on.

The chrome aftermarket versions were not bad, but the plain painted wheels didn't do much for me.

I thimk they are the ugliest wheels. When I was looking to buy a vette, if the car I wamted had wagon wheels then I would have added the difference into the negotiation for a new set of wheels. Good thing mine came with the 5 spoke chromes so I could drive my car day one. What I have always wondered is, why did that call them wagom wheels? Odd name for something going on a vehicle totally opposite from a wagon.

I'm not a fan of them, and wouldn't consider them even for winter wheels. but not long ago there was a post with a white coupe with white wagon wheels that I did like

OMG...I have to go wash my eyes out after that !
Back to topic at hand....C5, totally new design, sleak curvy body, etc, etc, and the design Wagon Wheels? What in the hell were those designers thinking ? I find it hard to believe they couldn't come up with a better looking wheel for a brand new design !
