2000 c5... Woo :d
Well, I had enough of people trying to kill me on my motorcycle.. so I put that away and bought a 2000 C5 Corvette.
I've been looking through the forum and FI sub forum...
I love it... just can't wait to put the billy boat cat back exhaust on! (trying to pass smog, have the BB as spare)
Here are the current mods on the car..
Engine: Lingenfelter short block, dyno'd at 420RWHP, Grumm performance heads, Fast intake, Dynomax headers, GHL catback and Bill Boat catback spare exhaust. Big Comp Cams camshaft.
6 speed manual transmission, with Textralia semi-racing clutch.
Suspension: Full C5 Z06 suspension, Z06 drilled rotors and calipers.
Hotchkis sway bars, Billstein shocks.
All bushings are polyurethane and drilled for grease fittings.
Wheels: CCW wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires 295/30R19 rear, 275/35R18 fronts
Stereo: Pioneer head unit, Jensen components, 5 channel amp with JL W7 sub.

^ Car!
Very happy... fun car!
Keeping my eyes on a supercharger to complete the setup though...
I might have over paid, (I don't think so though) 19.5k - but I love it.

Depending on the miles your price may have been good - I paid $15 for an '00 FRC with 65k miles but it (appears) to be bone stock (save exhaust) - to have all those mods done on mine would easily rack up another $4k....

If you wanted a hopped up C5, a Lingenfelter crate engine is pretty cool. Very legendary association with Corvette. If the car is fairly low miles, <100k, considering the pedigree of the engine builder, 19.5 doesn't sound that high.
FYI, I paid 16 for a 2000 Z51 6 speed coupe with 45k miles in my #1 color choice. It drives like a new car and had maintenance history back to day one.
In the long run, you will never worry about the little extra you paid for an especially nice one.

You can never go wrong with a black Vette. It looks fantastic! Here's to many more years of enjoyable Corvette ownership. Welcome to the family.

I did the same thing. Traded in my sport bikes for a c5, got tired of getting cut off and not seen while riding. Needed some sheet metal and a few airbags around me. But i missed the power to weight ratio and pure acceleration , so i started modding it to improve it, suspension ,exhaust, rims ,tires , and finally a&a supercharger to make 550 hp. Much better, nice pull . My only suggestion is that really decide what you want to end up with power wise so you don't have to keep replacing things that you have installed thinking it is a good idea at the time , think twice ,buy once , fast fun

Yeah that's true
I'm looking for 600-700 to the wheel. But I'll probably just get a good setup with the SC and start with low psi and increase it as I feel comfortable
