Yeah - I've got every tool in that rotates in my mix - 4" grinder with buffing wheel, drill, Dremel tool, and a couple of air tools. Also using 220 to 5000 sandpaper but letting the polishing do most of the work.
I've wrapped the tools in tape to minimize the number of self created scratches during the polishing.
Will you be clear coating or doing something else to maintain the shine?

Amazing work !
What type of buffer are you using ?
What compound ?
I usually sand mind from 400 up to 3000 then metal polish. Its a ton of work, but they look great.
I would like to try my hand at using a buffer with a wheel like that.

Dewalt grinder with yellow buffing wheel. Green block compound. The buffing wheel cuts half the sanding and shines just as good as if you were to sand till 2000

The brushed look IMO is used here more on top luxury cars.
It's going to look way cleaner fully polished on all blk C6Z

Good googlie mooglie...those look fantastic!!!! What kind of buffing wheel are you using (brand and center material)? The yellow and white wheels I have for my buffer doesn't seem to work for squat and only lasts for a single wheel...maybe a second one. Then again...my classics do have alot more cutouts for windows to snag on and make it jump.

Yup white and yellow.. you have to clean each wheel after a cpl passes, they tend to clog up with compound and aluminum dust ...
