Default Need Seat for my Grandson

I put this in C7 general also. Give me a break mods OK. It's for the kids. LOL. I need a booster seat so my grandson can ride with me. Is there a prefered car or booster seat for Corvettes. I have a C5 & C7. He is 4 1/2 years old and weighs 40 lbs. Thanks, Gramps

Can you turn off the passenger side airbag?

Just be sure to turn off your passenger side air bag when he rides with you. Any of the booster seats will work with your Corvette since they use the seatbelt as the attachment point. If your C5 is any year except a 2004 you will not be able to use the LATCH attachments as they were only standard on the 2004 models, I assume they are standard on the C7.

2000 should have a key switch in the glove box to turn off the airbag.

In 2001 they started putting a switch on the console. 2000 no turn off. Not sure about the C7. We still have a foot of snow on the roads and I took it home from the dealer three weeks ago, plugged it in and covered it. I have not had the importunity to check if the airbag can be turned off. I would think so in the C7.

This is incorrect. Mid-model year 2000 they had the passenger side air bag cutoff switch installed as a standard item. I know because the '00 I owned, which was built in February 2000, had the switch in the glove box area.

My C5 was one of the first 2000s built. Delivered to me in late August 1999. By the time your C5 was built there were changes already. Mag Red changed to Mag Red ll. Believe me there is no airbag shut off on my 2000. I just uncovered to get in & double check the glove box and area and nothing. I didn't think I missed anything after almost 16 years of ownership. It was nice to see the car again though. Tough winter.

From my search on another forum "The car does not have the switch as it is a early 2000 model. Only late 2000 models had the switch. Now I will
have to find an alternative means to bypass the airbag."
