Default MCM hoods are back..?

It looks like the old MCM molds might be back in production. I have been keeping an eye out for when these might come back and last night came across what looks to be exact replicas of the MCM hood on these 2 sites:

http://www.modifiedcorvettesonline.c...-air-hood.html

http://store.tkoperformance.com/97cafihiriho.html

From the pictures it can clearly be seen that these are not the newer ZR style knock-offs. Has anyone recently purchased one of these units from either of the above websites?

Sounds like the same product description that the original MCM hoods had (yes, I had one on my '00) and it would be great news if they are in fact the same quality as the originals. Price has jumped some, but I guess as with everything that is expected. Will be interesting to hear if anyone has bought one and what their install experience has been.

Interesting that the descriptions are pretty much word for word between the two companies... though the price disparity... wow.

yeah the price difference between the 2 is a little outrageous... the first link is on par for what I would expect to pay for one... if it is the real deal I wish I would have known about this sooner before buying the knockoff and dealing with all the stress it's caused me along with being strung along to get my money refunded

I'm currently in the market for a quality hood and will be contacting them for specifics. I just emailed the company to ask if they could provide any feedback from anyone who has purchased one from them.

Ecklers offers the same hood. I believe it is fiberglass. Have a local forum member who purchased one. I'll see.if I can get some feedback and picks of his.

ask them for more pics....underside specifically and compare the finish and the design to the MCM....there was a reason the MCM was made like it was
