Default C5 Rear Quarter/Fender Flares

Hey guys, before I pull the trigger on a set of rear quarter panel flares for my 2003 Z06, I wanted to get as much info as possible. I did a little research on them, and the 2 main companies that makes/sells them.

Lewis 5 and TPE. Both have solid reviews overall, but both also have some really sh** reviews. Poor quality, horrible installation. I’m having a shop do the work (paint, prep, install) so Id hate to have them spend countless hours costing me more money on it because of a poor quality product.

Are both these companies 2 inch fenders the same as in looks? I don’t want something cheesy looking, I want the real thing. I also read TPE doesn’t sell them anymore, if not where do you guys order them from?

Plan is to run a 345 fatty out back after everything is done hopefully on some CCWs (in the future) I heard a spacing is needed I’m guessing for the rubbing on the inside? I also would like to do the mud guard/trim around them as well.

Any info, or even pictures of both of them showing any difference would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Both are great flares. The difference in the look is the TPE's have a more smooth transition where the flare meets the quarter panel. The L5's have a more rounded out almost bubble or buldged flare with a more distinct seam at the transition of flare and rear quarter. I have the L5's. Here are some pics of both.
L5's with C6 brake vents and Sport Muscle GS wheels with C6Z backspacing. 20mm or 3/4" adapter.

TPE's with CCW's. No spacers.

I just bought the 1" flares from
Vettenuts. Any wider and I'll minitub vs looking like a dually with IMSA flares.

Any more info or pictures on the one with the TPEs? Looks really clean. Exact same wheel I want to run as well. Any spacers or adapters needed?

The CCW 505A is a 20x12.5 wheel. No spacer or adapter is needed with this wheel. Tire is a Nitto Invo 345 25 20. The TPE fenders have a 2" flare. Very nice combination. Here is another car with the same exact set up.

Also if I go with the Lewis 5, can I run that exact same CCW setup without spacers as well?

You can run the same wheel set up with the L5 flares as well. Check with forum members Toque and MaxxZ06
