Dead battery and locked out of 2001 Coupe
I didn't start the car for a couple weeks and now the battery is so dead that my remote does not work, nor will the key unlock the door. In googling online it shows how you can use your key fob key to unlock the hatch to get into C6's but that doesn't work for my 2001 C5.
Any advice on how to get into the car so I can unlatch the hood and get it jump started?

Your key should unlock the door, I know that it's hard to turn but it should work. Using the key is mechanical not powered. Just don't turn so hard you twist the key.

If a new ignition switch or door lock was put in the key may not work. Do a search as there was someone with this same problem last week and someone had recommended hooking a 12v power source to the starter which should allow you to use your key fob to unlock the door.

Hopefully this will work for you. Even if a door lock was replaced, I would think that a new key would have been provided.

Drifting
Same thing happened to another member a couple of weeks ago - it was suggested that he hook up a battery charger at the starter where the cable from the battery lands - will require crawling under the car and finding a good ground.
