Anyone have a Duraflex Caravaggio "Style" wing?
Ever since I got my '04 Corvette back in 2012, I have been on the fence of whether or not I need/want a rear spoiler on it. Some days I think it is nice without, and other days I feel I need something back there.
After a few years on the forum I've seen some very nice cars and it has helped me narrow it down (at least I think) to a Caravaggio spoiler. The hard part is the cost...After purchase and paint your in for about $600-$750.
I happened across an Extreme Dimensions version of the wing in Duraflex for under $300. Wondering if anyone has this version and what your thoughts were on quality, fitment issues, etc...It's a bit more in my budget assuming I actually (finally) pull the trigger on purchasing one. But I don't want to regret the purchase later if it turns out fitting poorly and needing more prep work than a "real" Caravaggio.
Here is the one I found:

I bought one of their hoods and it was horrible, I took it off and put the stock one back on... if the rest of their stuff is of the same quality you might spend the same amount as a real caravaggio due to all the prep work it would take to get it to fit properly... I'm not willing to take any more chances with their stuff so that was my first and last purchase with that company... I like the aci spoiler myself, it's similar to the caravaggio but not as wide on the top part of the bumper

BTW: Just did a mock checkout at the other place, $109 for shipping! Yikes.

I had a hell of a time returning my hood, if it weren't for paypal I'm not so sure I would have got my money back... like I said, first and last time I do business there

Thanks for the heads up. Vendor's help (attitude), quality of a product, and warranty statement go a long way if I am making purchase. I'm in the same market and in no rush until all options are explored.

I have a Caravaggio rear spoiler. Prep the surface, paint, put it on. Done. Makes up for paying for prep work. BTW, the ACI is probably good quality from what I've seen but there are a couple of differences. The spoiler sits upward much higher than the CV rear spoiler. The CV follows the car's contours better. The front edge does not all the way forward to the trunk opening like the CV, creating an additional cut line across the top near the trunk line. The Caravaggio was originally designed by John Cafaro, who was the designer of the C5.

Get the Caravaggio spoiler!
I have it...it's my car in that WS pic.
I wanted to copy that pic, but it's 'Website Content Copyrighted', but they ripped off my car!
Plus false advertising.

I bought the cheaper duraflex spoiler, the fit was horrible. I got my money back. Bottom line if you want the spoiler buy it from Caravaggio. You get what you pay for.

Can you give some more details on yours? Did it eventually get to a point that it fits properly and looks good?

My son bought the caravaggio and it fit perfectly. I thought I would save a few bucks and ordered the duraflex wing. When I tried it on I was so disappointed with the fit (rather the unfit). I'm one of these guys that hates to send things back, so I went about making it fit. The drivers side had a considerable gap as did the sides I put sarrand wrap on the car then put down a layer of body filler and then layed the wing on the car to get a perfect fit. After hours of sanding it almost looked as good as my sons. Should have bought the Caravaggio!

I did look at that one first. Still $400 to purchase, plus shipping and paint. Might be the right way to go if I do it though. Wish I were closer to CA to pick up in store and save the $90 in shipping costs. I've never gotten estimates on paint in my area, but I've read others were in the $150-$200 range?

Pete gets his stuff from extreme dimensions, my hood shipped straight from there and that's where I sent it back to... pretty sure they also supply the same stuff to the others as well
