Default New Daily Driver

The corvette is coming out soon, but in the mean time I purchased a new dd/winter car. (the corvette gets most of the dd in the summer - fall). Anyways here's the story, i had an 03 Escalade that I bought last summer for a winter car did great sold it when it hit 160k for 6k. Then my 05 Chrysler 300c which I've had since I was 17 (21 now) was starting to have issues, with it having 167K and me being almost a year into my first "career job" (currently teaching high school while going to online college) I decided it was time to get something new and nice!

So I got a Fully loaded Ford Taurus SHO with the performance package. And oh my that a car haha. I love this car. has every creature comfort (leather, suede, ac seats, navigation.... etc) and it is FAST with the twin turbo'd eco boost v6! The only thing I wanna do is tint the windows, CAI, Exhaust and a tune! also figure out some stealthy sub upgrade!

Kind of Funny. That is almost a mirror of the car we bought for the wife last Saturday. Ours has different wheels.

I like it a lot better than I thought I would. Ours was a 2011 with only 20K miles!

Definitely wish I could have your daily driver blackmachdown! lol

They are great cars, Especially the SHO version. I swear its faster then the vette (until i can get some more mods in her) and the all wheel drive is nice too!

Yeah I got in under a Work Place Specialist licences at the career and tech high school where i took class when I was in high school. When I was there I recived a lot of computer certifications (A+, Net+, Security+, Linux+, Server+, CCNA) and was able to get decent part time jobs in high school and while attending a brick and mortar school. Moved back home when my mom got sick and I went to the school on a vist and they asked me if I would teach computer programming and an Infrastructure class (Network security and Servers) so I said yes. So I'll be teaching until I complete my degree int Network Security!

The toy budget is supplemented because I live at home with my parents (who live 2 mins from where i work), I'm single, no real bills or anything besides insurance. I know I'm lucky to be in a position like this and I am very grateful for it. The besides some cheap craigslist cars, The Taurus is the first car I have bought/financed all on my own so I'm pretty proud of it! The corvette was a combination gift and my savings when I graduated. I was fortunate enough to have those decent part time jobs in school to save money to pay a good portion and have parents who were willing to help me out as well!

You don't owe anyone an explanation... but, now that you did, you seem like a great kid!

Great choice and I bet a lot of fun to drive too. I went to the dark side and drive a lifted Dodge Ram 2500 when I'm not driving the Corvette. Gas stations are a frequent visit as you can guess.

That SHO sounds, and looks, like a really nice car. Should serve you well for many years. Congrats.

hmm lotsa Fords. I got one too, a cherry '99 Explorer Sport 2X4. Perfect for all the daily chores...and with my Futon in the back I can live in it if the 'Vette decides to bankrupt me..
