I didn't see this post at first but this is the same hood/vendor I regret dealing with, what a total pita transaction... hood fit like crap and was molded wrong, he even admitted to me in a pm that every hood was molded the way mine was so if that's true then I guess people aren't noticing it... I ended up sending it back and feared that I wasn't going to get my money back, luckily paypal helped me out

I've ended up changing several mods on my car over the years, but some are just because I wanted a change and not really out of regret. These are the real regrets I've had
- RPS Twin Light Clutch - this was a nightmare in stop and go driving. Basically an on/off switch, which combine with a big cam made the car far too challenging to drive on the street. Mantic 9000 I swapped to was a million times better.

Same here, but I can no longer do the mechanical work myself, due to spinal problems, so mine just sits. That clutch with the 7/8ths Tick is very touchy.

Biggest Regret....
Selling my 18" /19" HRE 540s and going with this other manufacturer's (who I will not name out right) 19"/20" forged concaved mesh eights in black. Lost traction, the wheels have been crap, peeling and cracking and I have had issues with the way they mount the TPMS sensors on those wheels.
If I could do it again, I would keep the 540s.

Removed my BSM. I love the look but the drivers door had been repainted with it on, leaving a depression in the paint. I've yet to sand it out and repaint it.
Cheapo blackout covers for the tail lights, they look unfinished, cheap, and too dark to see the brake light well. Removed them within a week.

Ceramic brake pads
I started doing some HPDE's so I replaced my stock rotors and pads with a set of Brakemotive drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. On the street they seemed to be good, but after one day at the track, the ceramic pads came off and a set of StopTech pads went on. Now, with the Brakemotive rotors and StopTech pads it stops great, and no fade.
The best mod I've done is taking part in a HPDE. I just did the Hooked On Driving event at Watkins Glen this past Tuesday. It truly is amazing what these cars are capable of, when you learn to drive them correctly.

I think its called s-wing from Carbon Creation. I have the carbon fiber one and it is cracked all over the top of it. Bad fit, but the 2 sided tape I bought on ebay to hold it on works great.

when I bought mine I didn't see a lot of bad things about them, maybe I didn't look hard enough or maybe people just weren't speaking up... the only thing we can do is share our experiences with each other so that others don't make the same mistakes

I have to say,my worst mod was a seller of a spoiler on this site,It fit like crap No wonder he sold it to me at a good price. Now it hangs in the garage rafters,Wife says to sell it,but I told her, I am not ripping someone off,Like he did to meAnd don't get me started about my rear letters for my C4 from RPI.....#Garbage

eBay sport seat foam kit. Middle man re-selling a very reputable vendors stuff. It didn't fit at all but the seat covers from another eBay seller fit stock foam like a glove and was local. Pitched the foam kit in the trash and never looked back. I'll go with an aftermarket seat when these wear out.

No real regrets, to which I credit two things:
1. Having a vision of what I wanted my car to be, then methodically going about the mods to achieve it.
2. CF - a truly fantastic resource for learning what works, what doesn't, which vendors to work with, etc.
Some of my mods came out better than I thought they would, some didn't. But nothing I regret!
