Default Guys with aftermarket seats!!

I am in process of putting aftermarket seats and was wondering what things do I need to take in consideration "electronically" wise before I start removing things? I have searched but there is no "how to" when it comes to seat swapping. (will make one once I do my installation)

So my questions are:
1) What kind of resistor are you using to fool the airbag light?
2) I have not removed the driver seat yet but is the airbag connector under the seat?
3) Do I need to do anything about the seat belt so the seat belt light doesn't stay on?

If you have a C5, you don't have to worry about the airbag. It'll work regardless. Same with the seat belt, there's nothing you have to do to keep the light from coming on. It defaults to assuming it's always buckled.

Yes I have a C5Z...So you are saying the lights (air bag and seat belt) will always be On or changing the seat will not trigger these lights? Thanks

Changing seats will not trigger any lights, or affect functionality of the airbags.

Since I am also plannig to eventually change out my seats, what about the power seat control modules. If they are disconnected, won't there be an error message on the DIC? What's the workaround? Do we simply jumper the connections or keep the seat modules to fool the computer? What about the telescopic steering?

There are no DIC messages pertaining to the seats, so that isn't an issue. I don't have the telescopic steering, and I don't think there's any DIC messages for that either.

I have a 1SB car (telescoping steering wheel, memory, everything) and I swapped my driver's seat to manual rails and removed all the power equipment, computers, controllers, etc. The telescoping wheel doesn't move anymore (I moved it out all the way how I want before, so I don't mind that it's stuck there), but there hasn't been any DIC errors or anything popping up. No seat belt lights. No airbag lights. Nothing.

I believe the seat control module is responsible for all memory functions including the telescoping steering. Just plug your seat control module back in and tuck it under your aftermarket seat.

Switcing to Corbeau A4's triggered my seatbelt light. It's on all the time now. I don't really care but it would be nice to find a way to turn it off. On the other hand, I sit all the way the forward and leaned forward as well to be really close to the steering wheel, maybe that's what's causing the problem. Will test it out this weekend.

No problems with airbags or memory/telescoping though as I kept the control module from the original seats..

The seat belt ultimately plugs into the seat control module. If you kept that module but didn't plug the seat belt into it, I imagine that would trigger a light. I just removed it all, and have no lights. My memory mirrors still work somehow, they must not be tied into the seat module.

You have to drive in order for the light to turn back on and flash/chime. Did you drive once you removed the seat?

I have Corbeau A4s as well. No lights, air bag or seatbelt, the connector for the power seat is just hanging out under the seat, not connected. If you go through the DIC and look at codes, you will see an error that there is no communication to SCM (Seat Control Module) but no issues with that at all.
