Default Recaro Speed 5 Point seat fitment

Seems there's talk about these seats being the same as the Evo8. I've searched and can't find anyone that's actually fit the Recaro Speed seats in a C5. Anyone? I'd like to reuse the OEM seat tracks to keep the memory functions while adding adding the 5-point anti-sub slot.

I put Recaro evo9s out of a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer in my car and what you have to do is make some adapter brackets from 2x16x1/8 flat metal
and drill some holes in the right places.
I can't see it being much different if the seat bases are similar.

Thanks! I guess I'll give it a try.

Here's more on this
The bracket is 17x2x1/8 but 16 will work as well.
The holes on the seat are self evident and it's not too hard to locate the track after placing it on the upside down seatbottom.

Now would be the time to add seat heaters
I got these dual control 5 level ones on ebay for 90.00

Not hard to slide them in but for my Recaros I had to fold the seat bottom pad in half as I could only slide it in 1/3 to the first stitching but it's the part under my butt.
The pads have temp sensors built in so I'm not worried about overheating.
The seat back pad was no problem putting in full.

Sweet! I don't drive the car in the cold much so not much interest in seat heaters but is it possible to add lumbar bladders?

I've actually driven my car a lot in the last 2 months and the mornings here are still cold.

As to the lumbar bladders you can take them out and see if you can figure out a way to put them in whatever seat it is you have.
I kept the pumps (the things in the leather bags) because the power seat wouldn't work without them.
You can see the tubes cut off and plugged in one of the pics.
If you're going to use them you can cut the tubes then hook them back together
with vacuum line fittings from an Auto store.

The Recaros hold you firm but are super comfortable without need of lumbar support.

I'm getting Silver Carbon Fiber seat control covers and toes on Wednesday as these
ones hardly look different from the black ones in the car.

When I recovered my seats I used blood pressure cuff bladders ($5.90 each shipped), works like a charm for lumbar and side bolster repairs.
