The key to the repair is the replacement spacers/washers. It looks like this kit is using OEM materials - I'd avoid it and find a kit (or make them yourself) that has a harder material for the spacer such as steel or copper. There are a number of guys on the Forum that have made their own.

You won't know if you need the other bracket until after you get the seat apart. I did not need the bracket when I did my repair. Good luck.

Don't worry, its the washer just like in all of our cars. It seems like a lot of movement for a washer but that's all it is.

I got similar kit from C&S Corvettes in Sarasota, FL. Lyle (from C&S) has a Youtube video on the install. If that big wing-nut looking bracket is broken it is a job to repair (I didn't have to repair mine either). There are 2 of them on each seat. But they are pretty stout and I guess they will support a 240 lb driver for many miles. YMMV of course.

I did my seats and used this as a guide.

Cost me a whopping $3.

that looks like the right kit. my seat was doing the same thing as yours so I replaced the washers on the seat track. it fixed the little back and forth but the rocking in the back is still there. its like its moving up and down on the drivers outside back corner. what I found is the bracket that attatches the seat to the track brakes. that kit has the 4 washers for the rocking and the bracket to replace the broken one

Here's another thread about the back of the seat rocking - much more complicated than the washer fix.

Let us know how it comes out.

seat is out and rear driver door side bracket broken and inner side has a crack on its way

i guess
http://corvettepartscenter.com/drive...r-kit-1997-04/ is the best kit. do they sell 2 brackets instead of the one?

are there bushings oem or upgrades?
