Chrome lug nuts
I know there are a lot of threads on this subject. I wanted to get the most recent post or recommendation on the best quality chrome lugs nuts for the C5 wheels. Here is the wheel I currently have. Is there a particular lug nut to replace these?

Ecklers has the plastic chrome cap for these for just a few bucks apiece if want to go that route and not install lug nuts if your lug nuts will accept them. They will have to have the threads on the OD of the lugs to be able to use the plastic chrome covers.

You can probably get the same thing at your local speed shop or auto parts store . . .

I have chrome but not for the locking lug nut. Would u sell me 4 of the plastic chrome nuts so i can put the original loc nut on and cover it with the plastic chrome cap. Not a big deal ecklers has them for around 3.00 bucks apiece but their shipping is more than the actual nuts.

I bought a set of black ones from West Coast Corvettes. They also have chrome ones for a reasonable price. The good thing is that they have a locking lug for each wheel.

I would recommend buying a set of lug sockets to minimize the damage to the lugs. I bought a set off Amazon w/a protective sleeve that won't hurt he rim.

I am not trying to complicate a simple purchase. As with most Vette owners, we try to buy the best when we replace anything on our cars and I want the lug nuts to look good and be of good quality. Any pic's of your wheels with your chrome lug nuts would be nice.

Either Gorilla or McGard have high-quality chrome lug nuts. They are available in different lengths and if you want a contrasting color or body color, both companies have them in anodized finishes. They will also have kits that come with locking lug nuts.
You can get them at tire stores, or Summit Racing, JEG's or even Amazon. These places will have them much cheaper than the various accessory catalogs.
Just make sure the lug nuts are the correct thread (M12x1.50) size and have a 60 degree taper for the OEM wheels. Also, depending on the lug nuts you get, you may have to get a different socket. Some aftermarket lug nuts will use a 19mm socket, others may use a 13/16" socket.
