Replacing the sticky foam interior wire wrap?
Just got done ripping into the dash again on my car and I'm getting tired of the sticky, crumbling, old foam stuff that's wrapped around the interior wiring bundles. Has anyone replaced it with something else? Any pics? Thanks for any ideas!

I know how you feel.
They make wiring sleeves that are split and are used for this purpose. You could also use heat shrink tubing that is smaller and split it yourself with a razor blade knife. You just would not heat it.
Both should be found at Radio Shack or most auto stores.

The spiral wound plastic wiring loom material will work better than split shrink tubing, but you should tape the ends to prevent it from migrating/sliding around. I prefer to use , takes a little practice to use but far superior to electrical or other tape.
I have used this stuff for years in my race car(s)and aircraft projects, tossed the old vinyl electrical tape out years ago!
