Default Radioflyer's Bi-xenon ACA headlights Available again

Important update 9-27-15

We are receiving small batches of components and the first 5 kits are assembled/labeled and will be shipped out tomorrow morning. More kits will be shipped out throughout the week as fast as we are able to assemble them.

For status update on your particular order see the following post: (ref the last 4 digits of your original invoice number)
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c5-general/3649296-radioflyer-s-bi-xenon-aca-headlights-available-again-2.html#post1590585469

IMPORTANT UPDATE 9-23-25

The HID components, Projectors and LED high beams are still in customs and with no luck in communication with customs, I have re-ordered the required components from domestic sources which should arrive in 1-2 weeks. Apologies for the delays, but the kits will be shipped soon.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The headlight housings have arrived at our shop but US customs still has not given approval for the HID kits and Projectors to be released. I thought they had been released but there was a miscommunication with DHL.

[/SIZE]

Important update: The Headlight housing have arrived in the US and should clear customs today. The HID bulbs/ballasts however have been detained by customs for further inspection. Since our HID/Projector combination exceeds DOT standards, inspection/testing shouldn't be an issue, however all orders will be delayed as long as it takes for US customs to release them (which may be up to 30 days)

Important Update for Pre order customers: Balance is now Due (pre order customers will receive this message via email as well)

Due to unforeseen circumstances the anticipated delivery of these lights has been delayed pushing back the shipping date substantially, however we were able to make up for most of this delay by arranging for half of the production run (including all the pre orders) to be shipped via Air Cargo.

This is the current est shipping schedule
Headlights arrive in US of Aug 24
Headlights delivered to our ship Aug 31
All pre-orders ship out Sept 1-4

The Air cargo shipping requires us to pay a substantial amount more but we are willing to eat these additional costs to get these lights to you as close to the originally projected ship date as possible.

In order to ensure speedy processing please submit your balance in one of the following 2 options:

1) Mail a check for the balance of $350 to: (be sure to include your invoice number on the check)

Radioflyer Innovations
12107 Harvest Dr
Grass Lake, MI 49240

2) Purchase 35 "custom order credits" from the link below. At checkout under special instructions note the last 4 digits of your invoice number from your pre order.

http://shop.radioflyerinnovations.co...Credit-023.htm

Once the headlights have arrived at our location, they will be shipped according to the date of pre-order if the balance has been received. Tracking number will be emailed through the shipping agent at the time of shipment.

Thank you

Update (8-12-15): The past few days Taiwan has been hammered by a massive typhoon that has caused tremendous flooding. I have been informed that while the factory is okay, the roads to and from the factory are currently closed which will delay the shipment of lights until late next week.

Many of you have been asking when we were going to have the Bi-xenon ACA headlights available again. The original factory producing the ACA housings we used stopped production, however we have managed to convince them to start up again and create one more batch on what is a nearly 15 year old design. We have given the green light to produce a 100 units of the housings we use for our kit.

The catch: Production is scheduled to take up to 65 days with shipping taking 15 days and another 10 days to clear customs and get through the back-build of the worker slow-down at the port of LA. This puts delivery date of these headlights to mid August 2015.

We are starting a Pre-Order program for customers who wish to secure a space on this batch of headlights which is most likely the last batch to be produced. Pre orders will require a down payment of $300 with the remaining $350 due when the headlights have cleared customs. (a notification email will be sent to all pre-order customers at that time) Should you encounter unforeseen circumstances during this unusually long lead time (ex: you sell your C5) Your down payment may be used as a store credit for other purchases (no refunds of down payments will be offered)

You may get in on the pre-order here:
http://shop.radioflyerinnovations.co...eposit-015.htm

If you have any questions, please email me.

For those of you who are not familiar with these headlights:

These headlights are the apex of aftermarket innovation in C5 headlight design. They are currently the ONLY Production Bi-xenon system that is complete plug-and-play/Bolt-on. The low beams emit 3X the light projected over nearly 10 times the road surface....plus they look fantastic.

There SHOULD be some still sitting on the dock. If i can get my hands on them, i will sell them to those who have already purchased and those who are on the pre-sale first. I check on these weekly from our supplier and apparently the dock worker slowdown had a staggering effect that is still being felt 2 months later.

Question, There is no need for adjustments on the lights or do they need to be adjusted after install? Thank You

Adjustments will be needed. The pattern from the factory lights has the driver's side aimed low and closer to center line. With out lights, both low beams will be aimed level (or slightly lower) and dead-ahead for maximum projection. The dipped beam cutoff pattern is what prevents glare to other drivers.

It will look like this against a wall.

The picture below has Radioflyer's ACA non-Bi-Xenon HID's with 4300K lights in the low beam headlights
and 5000K HID's in the fogs. I eventually installed 4300K's in the fogs.

Found the tint of the 4300K lights worked better for me.

5000K is our most popular color and IMO the best combination of output and accurate illumination. The 4300 has always seemed like a dirty flashlight to me.
