Pulled the headunit out to install an aux port. Got to the point of no-return. Got nervous, put the headunit back in, and going to order a double din when I find the one I want.
Also ordered ac delco platinum plugs, GMPP red wires, pcv hose (mine is deteriorated)
Ive got a slight squeak "under heavy load" Looked at the harmonic balancer looks like it may have a 'slight' wobble... Ill start with some gator backs and see if i still have the squeak
Trying to decide if i should order QTP exhaust cut outs or a cold air intake....

Nothing. But I worked 6A to 6P Friday though today. Tomorrow however........a little bit of polish therapy with some Menzerna, a PC7242, and some Zaino to top it off.

I hit the cruise night at the Scottsdale Pavilions. There must have been about 60 Vettes there, and tons of other cars. The place was packed and the weather was perfect.
Some other guy's Vette.
This car was so old, it was black and white.
I took the long way home because the weather was just friggin' amazing.

Installed insulation
Started Friday night with insulation package, and did the trunk on my 01 vert. Spent all day Sat till 10:30 PM installing the rest of the insulation in the cockpit area. What a difference it has made. Much more quiet then stock. Well worth the 16 hours of labor and very

despite the horribly rainy weather we have had for the last couple of weeks and counting it actually cleared up in the late afternoon and I was able to get it out of the garage and also let a mercedes s600 have it so it was a pretty fun drive

Unfortunately, just looked at it sitting in the garage under the car cover. Been raining most of the time.

Burning Brakes
Pulled the front spring in anticipation of swapping to Z06 spec springs, only to find out that I have a front FE3/FE4 spring already but a rear FE1 spring. So I'll be reinstalling that then pulling the rear to install the FE4 spring that a friend got off a Z06 Z16 at the salvage yard.
At least it was easier than I thought it was going to be.

Le Mans Master
Moved ours out of the shop to the garage, to make room for a new friends C5 in the shop so we could work on it... had a blast working on his car... great kid! Don't know why a 24 year old would even remotely want to hang out and work on his C5 with a 60 year old grumpy, cranky, ole fart... but it sure was nice...this kid restores hope for the next generation, works hard, polite, respectful, quick to learn, appreciative... just a class act! We did the Modified Ranger Method to try and start getting his clutch fluid cleaned up.... Pulled his shifter out which he didn't know was a B&M aftermarket... it was FILTHY....took it completely apart, cleaned, greased and reassembled, his bushings were shot, so we used my stock box, till we get some poly bushings for his box. all the bolts in the top half were very loose...Vented his flywheel dust cover... removed rear Cross flags emblem... tinted reflectors in the door panels... and a few other little odds and ends..
