Or get RAGGTOPP sold by Forum Supporter Ecklers, part number 88-0251-1 . Suggest considering also buying a top up cover (Ecklers #34877) if your vert sits outside (like mine) most of the time.

The Eckler cover is 190 bucks.!!!! I bought one just as good for 59. Shop around. I use the 303 for my top. Like it better than the Raggtop I tried.

Tried Raggtop and DIDN'T like it.. ordered it and followed their instructions to the LETTER... very disappointing results

Switched to 303 and am VERY pleased with the results!

I saw on utube vids of both and 303 seemed to do a better job..I am just very concerned because when I think ragtop I think vinyl, but my 2001 is more like cloth and was worried about ruining it.

I've used 303 cleaner and 303 protectant, liked it better than ragtop, beads up pretty good, but apparently they're both just re-packaging of high end camping tent and boat top waterproofing I'm told..... they look the same on the ingredient labels and smell the same but I haven't tried any... I know the stuff I use on my boat top beads up like crazy and lasts a long time....the seagull poop rinses right off as well

The only vinyl top I think is the white one...
If I recall they upgraded the tops in 01 to Twill II from a 3 ply to a 5 ply top, with an added layer of insulation for sound and heat.... it is CLOTH the 303 works GREAT....

FOLLOW the instructions to the LETTER.... Get some cheap thin drop cloth and you can crack open your top... slide the sheet of plastic under the top and cover the entire car... then all that's left is masking off the back glass...I just masked off the outer edge of it with 1/2 blue masking tape then cut out a piece of brown paper from Lowes to fill the rest of the area and taped it in place...they you can do a good job of treating your top and not get anything on the car..........

I also found that using a soft bristled brush for application helped... I think it's mentioned on the 303 bottle...

A guy in S. Jersey had white with black top. hd,auto, rear, with a LS1 stroker ,novi 2000, roll bar. with black Ruff rims. a 9.60 vette no juice for $21g,, ECS build. and I didn't jump on it..It was one of the best lookin verts I'd seen. white with black interior sport seats.

Fred
Yep,I think I will be doing the same thing. The black top looks really good, I just wanna try to keep it that way..Only be driving at the most 3 days a week. 8 months max in a yr. It will NOT see the Md. salt...or rain unless I get caught in it..
