Default BCM or ignition switch

Hello out there . I got a question about my BCM . Here is the short story . I had a heater core to bust in my 99 c5 manual transmission. The BCM got wet so I bought one on line . I started getting the pull key and service column lock .so I bought the lmc5 . It worked for a short while so they sent me another one called the five wire . I have talked to Richard many time and we have tried everything that he could think of . I did the relearn when I got the BCM but I didn't have my RPO codes put in simply cause none of the Chevy dealership will do it saying that it can't be reprogrammed . I don't know how true that is lol.look guys I love my car but right now every time I drive the car when I shut it off . I have to disconnect the battery to clear the code so the car will move . Could it also be the ignition switch losing connection or something. Any help please . It's a little embarrassing to open the hood everywhere I go too be able to drive off again.

OK, are you getting a code are you or are you talking about the DIC message?

I know you are getting a message. Does it prevent the car from being started and driven or just limit it to 2 mph?

I would like to see what 8VETTE7 thinks about this issue and the possible ignition switch relationship. If he does not see this Thread, PM him with a link to this Thread. He is the C5 Guru on CL issues.

The BCM RPO codes can be changed using any Tech 2. I have done it for several people. I would not recommend using those dealerships for any work on your car. Wish you were closer, I would be glad to do it for you. Surely someone in your area can do it. If not, and you want to drive over we can do it in about 5 minutes.

The issue with the door modules came out of left field. What are you trying to tell us?

Mr. Sam

PS: I remember your Thread on the heater issue.

Yes I'm getting codes and the car will shut off at the 2 mile speed . Someone named bill said to check my door modules and the buss connection. I really don't know what to look for other than broken wires or what . Now when I got the car to get the drivers side window to work I had to hit the door panel to make it work so I took it off and found the wire loom worked when I moved it to the side . So I taped it down so maybe I need to start looking there .

We can help you with door issues but let's not try to solve multiple issues in a single Thread. Lets focus here on what your Thread stated.

Where is you get the BCM? Did you just get it as a used one from someone or did you buy it from a KNOWN supplier as having been New or Remanufactured.
