Default Will the front rims fit on the rear?

Hello, I have a 2000 coupe, I just recently bought some new rims for the car and are having them mounted on the tires that are currently on the car. So I will have a set of stock 17 and 18 inch rims to mount drag radials on. I want to mount MT ET Street Radial P275/40R17 on the stock 17 inch front rims. Has anyone done this "cheaper drag set up" before? Will the front rims fit on the rear of the car? Thanks Brandon

Just remember, if you want Traction Control to work the overall diameter of the rear tires must be 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches larger than the fronts.

PS: Rim is just one part of wheel.

It'll work. How wide are the front wheels you have? Typically, you'd want a 9.5" wide wheel for 275 width tires which means C5Z front wheels would be perfect for DRs.

I've been running 275/40/17 DRs on the back for years at the track, pretty common for us A4 guys.....

I have 2 17" 8.5 the stock coupe rims. Id like the c5z fronts but I already had my stock set. The 8.5s should do the job tho, Ill defiantly keep my eyes out for c5z fronts tho.

275/40/17 MT ET Street Radials....
Found no difference running them on an 8.5 or 9.5 rim, currently using 9.5 wide Z06 front rims though....

I hate how people call wheels rims too. The rim is the edge of the wheel.
