Default 2001 factory Aluminum Polished wheels

Are the wheels on my 2001 (factory aluminum polished) clear coated from the factory? I want to clean them and do not want to harm them. Your thoughts are welcome

yes they should have some sort of clear coat on them, the best thing to use to clean them would be soapy water with a what ever you use to wash your car with and soft brush

Yes, factory high polished wheels were clear coated from the factory. Be careful what you use on them - I would use soap and water followed by a good wax like you would use on your car's paint.

A word of caution. I never use "Never Dull" on clear coat. However, I have used it on bare metal. YMMV
I use car wash or just plain water. Once a year I polish them with Meguiars Wax.

I use the same soap that I use on the paint. It works very nicely. And yes, they are clearcoated. The longer I have mine the more I appreciate them. They are strong, light, pretty and subtle.
