Looks like the wrong direction, too. Please don't abuse your C5 with wannabe C7 parts. Wait for a unique diffuser like the rest of us!

Looks like I will be going another direction.
Well we carry that bumper if you want to give it a shot. I know I can beat anyone's price on it.

Regarding the diffuser. I'll be getting everything shipped to my manufacturer in the LA area which is good as it's closer to me and I could easily make a trip down there if needed. These new guys will make it in urethane and eventually can make it in carbon. They can generally make a part in 3-4 weeks start to finish. I'll keep you guys posted once we get the parts in hand.

Just out of curiosity, I'm not 100% clear on how this thing will be mounted... but if there is any relative movement between the diffuser and bumper, will the diffuser rub the bumper and potentially scratch it?

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-progress.html

Once we got the prototype my manufacturer started working on it to make sure the fit an finish was perfect. These are being made here in the USA, which means once you take these out of the box all you need to do is bolt it on and your done. They will not require any prep work to get them to fit. These will also be available in OEM body colors (but I still need to get that pricing) these require NO CUTTING of the rear bumper at all to install. Right now we are at the mold making stage and we expect that to be done in the next few days. We expect parts no later than 3-4 weeks.

Retail on these will be $799 + shipping (and Paypal fees)
Pre-Order pricing will be $699 + shipping (and Paypal fees)

They will come with everything needed to install them. There is also a lot of info in the thread above that Rob had posted. I will be taking payments in full as splitting them up makes it too confusing. Once I get payment I will start a list here with your screen name. Below are pictures of the diffuser. The ones on the car were some that Rob had posted when he was working on it, in white they are from manufacturing after getting all the gaps tightened up and corrected.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to the demand for carbon we will go ahead and get those started and take pre-orders on those as well. Since we obviously haven't started molds on those etc we are expecting an 8-12 weeks (probably be less but that gives us a good window) remember these pieces will be high end carbon (100% carbon, no glass reinforcement) Since these are a higher cost and the wait is longer I will go ahead and take deposits of 50% to lock you in at the initial pre-order price. I will add you to the list with payment status next to your name.

Pricing is carbon fiber is $1199 retail
Pricing for Pre-orders is $999 + shipping and paypal fees

Please PM me to order

1. Sfc rick - Paid in Full (FIBERGLASS)
2. Arc07 - 50% Down (CARBON)
3. Mike Plummer - 50% Down (FIBERGLASS)
4.

It should not move once mounted. It will both through the vents on the rear bumper and we may also use tape along the top edge to keep it snug.

On a side note, it was picked up today and is heading to my manufacturer in LA. We might make carbon first and depending on demand switch to urethane. They just think carbon may be the better option since the mold is a lot less. Here it is crated up and heading to my new guys. Once they get it, it should be 3-4 weeks and we'll have a part to ship out.

Spoke to my new manufacturer today and they said they should be getting the whole rear/diffuser tomorrow. They said they will give me a call and let me know what shape it is in and what it will take to finish up. Hopefully by tomorrow i'll have some insight to how much longer this will take. Once they have it, assuming it doesn't need a lot to start making the mold, they should be able to crank them out pretty quick.
