Is there a DIY anywhere on rebuilding the brake calipers
I've tried searching and didn't find anything that was of help. I'm considering pulling my brake calipers and carrier brackets to fully disassemble, clean, color change, reassemble and reinstall. Looking for a DIY with a parts list that I would need to replace/freshen up the calipers. Anyone able to help me out? Much appreciated. TIA

Although a DIY is helpful, rebuilding calipers isn't all that difficult. As long as the bores and pistons are not scored it's as simple as removing boots and piston seal / or-ring /seal, cleaning everything up, lube seals and pistons with clean brake fluid and carefully reassemble making sure boot seals engage in the machined slots.

Why not just go with a vendor like www.tpsmotorsports.com and have it done right. They rebuild and have every powdercoated color you'd want. By the time you send your old cores in the cost is pretty reasonable. I'm happy with the way mine turned out.

I want to do it myself and I have cerakote (a ceramic based coating that is used on many things but started as a gun coating) in the color I used as the accent color on my CCW Classics (inner barrels, insert/cut outs and ARP hardware) and want to finish the calipers and carriers to match. Why pay someone to do it when I have the time and the resources to do it? I was just looking for a DIY or video tutorial for guidance.

AWESOME POST, THANKS!!! That's ALOT of help and looks totally doable for someone of my "tinkering" level.
