5 C7's = no wave
I don't know what's going on here in Montgomery County Maryland, but the past 2 days I have passed 5 C7 Corvettes and not one waved back. Are they new to VETTES and just don't know or being snobby?

its a roll of the dice with vette owners in general, even the C5 guys.
There are some C5 owners who actually think they are big time, serious guys, while driving around in their car, and they refuse to wave to others.
Ive came across a few of these types.
C7 guys are much worse u will never get a wave from them, I think I got one half assed one in a parking lot once.

C7 owners are the big buck spending type.. $70g for their car. They think us c5 guys are ones who bought a c5 for $15k. Unfortunately because that's all a c5 with 50k miles is worth.

I had a guy pull right up next to me at a gas station with a C5 and didn't so much as acknowledge the presence of my own. Some people just want to watch the world burn

I'd be willing to bet most C7 owners are new to the club and have no idea about The Wave.

I once posted a story about being raped by a guy who tracked me down because I didn't wave. I got banned for 3 months by CF for the story, so now I wave, at everyone no matter what type of vehicle.

While a number of C7 owners were probably previous C6 and C5 (and even previous generations) owners, it seems like it doesn't matter what year you run across, the wave is dying out. It's a shame since the wave tradition has been around for generations.

Most C7 drivers don't wave. I've seen them drive right next to me on the street and they don't wave back.
But I saw a black C7 Z06 on the freeway today that I think waved, he seemed to acknowledge me, but I couldn't tell for sure because of his window tint.

The wave is not dead - spent the weekend in Carlisle with "real" Corvette people and my arm is sore from waving. Even the drive home - hundreds of miles away - there were waves, even from C7 guys.

I was driving my '58 last week when I passed a C6 coming from the opposite direction. I waved to him, but got no response. I figured he probably thought I was a TBird or an old Mercedes. A little further down the road I encountered a C4. Before I could release my grip on the steering wheel, he was waving at me like I was an old friend. You never know who will return the wave, but I still continue the tradition. I give the C7 owners some slack. They are still new at this.

Met a dozen or so Corvettes of all generations on a cruise last Sunday in Wisconsin and they all waved. Maybe we are a little more informed up here in God's Country.
