My 01 coupe has power seats.
The easy out option has stopped working, and moving the seat forward and backward takes to fiddling with the button... Up and down work fine but moving closer to the steering wheel sometimes has some issues.

Any ideas?

funny, mine just started doing the same thing! I think ill ride your coat tails here and wait for a remedial response!!

Start by pulling the codes. If you don't know how do a search on the forum. It sounds like your Seat Control Module, as you toggle through the codes write down what there is in the SCM section and post them. Lot's of very knowledgeable experienced members on the forum that can help. But you need the codes...

My 02 vert had similar issues. My short term solution was to move the seat with no one sitting in it. That works for now

Probably need to at least pull the seat and re-grease everything. Then we can go from there.

Both my driver and passenger seats are power. I've disconnected the drive b/c the seat would often unpredictably move all the way back or try to crush me against the firewall. Can I switch motors, driver with passenger or do I have a different problem?

What do plan to accomplish by swapping motors? Motors don't just decide to operate as if by magic.
