Default Ranger Quick Jack?

Anyone used one of these on their C5?

If so which model? And do we still need the jacking pucks?

Thanks!

I took a look. Says nothing about the safety design to prevent collapse on loss of hydraulic pressure.

Can't tell about how the lift points would match for the C5.

Too expensive for what you get.

Not really when you compare the price to 2 jacks and 4 jack stands. I mean quality items and not the junk a lot of people get.

I've spent more and gotten less. They have a good idea there. If I saw one in action, I would probably buy one. Several have been the times at the track when a car needs to have all 4 off the ground.

Looks like 4 hockey pucks and you are Corvette-ready.

If it went high enough, you might be able to drop an engine/drivetrain onto a couple of transmission jacks and roll it out from underneath.

sam, look at the photo, there is a small bar that drops in a pocked. I think that is the safety. Might be better if it had several stops, but like i said, good idea.

Doesn't appear to allow side access under car, looks like front and rear only. This could be a little to restrictive

Rugged safety lock bars with dual locking positions keep vehicles safely held in a raised and locked position

Search for posts on this item. Read quite a few a while back. Everyone seemed to be happy with their purchase.
(you do need the jacking pucks)

Yes I bought one this year. I love it, and yes you still need the pucks unless you are realy carfull to center the rubber pads that it comes with. I bought the 5000 model. cause I use it for my Jeep and my wifes Pacifica. to do Oil changes, and than I will be useing it to get the vette up off the floor this winter.

Thanks guys, problem is I have an 10 foot ceiling in my garage, so a "real" lift is out of the question, but at least something to get under the car to do simple maintenance..

You can get this in you garage with a 10' ceiling i had one a few years back it cam in hany a lot and its movable when you're done. It lifted my WS6 high enough to drop the engine from the bottom even with the low ceiling.

After seeing this thread, I decided to order one. I have a standard two car garage with a low ceiling so a standard two or four post lift probably wouldn't work for me.

Placed the order this morning and had a tracking number this afternoon.

I love my MaxJax, great lift for normal height garages.
