POLL: Corvette owners Cool or total jerks?
I've had quite a few cars over the years and met a lot of great people in each group. I have my opinion on this subject but I will keep it to myself for now. I was curious what you all thought from an anonymous position on the personality of the average owner.

I agree.Truth is i have seen it first hand at car shows and just about anywhere else. The older generations tend to have the nicer folks.I do believe the general population views Corvette owners as conceited jerks just like they do owners of BMW,Porsche,Hummers, etc.Somewhere over the years Corvette owners must have earned that reputation and it is tough to change public perception.I know i get confused why someone thinks a person driving a 15 year old C5 that is worth less than a new Corrola or Civic thinks they are better then they are.

Lots of cool vette guys out there, really nice guys .
But they certainly have a higher then average percentage of D-Bag's as well, compared to other car groups.
I think its a lot like Harleys, you get guys who just think they are so bad *** cause they got one, and they don't realize how pathetic they look, trying so hard to be cool.

Honestly most of the Corvette owners I've run into have been pretty cool, but just like any other car owner, there is a fair share of them that are total jerks. It is especially true when you get someone that thinks their generation of Corvette is so much better than any other.

Now in his mind I'm most likely the one who came across as the *******.

I bought a c5 because it was much cheaper than a chevelle, I find it funny when I go to a show and someone brings a brand new stock c7.....that guy is usually the arrogant jerk you guys speak of ...not a typical older generation Vette owner.

I think most are pretty cool. But I will be the jerk right now and point out that
then and than are not interchangeable. Two different words with two different meanings.
Thank you and have a good day.........

Saturday I was at my local Shell filling up. A late 20's, early 30's guy on the other side of the pump leaned around and said "man, I wish I had your job".. I asked if he was referring to my car, he said yeah. Now he's putting gas in his all decked out practically brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I told him "man, this car is almost 17 years old, and I could have almost 3 of them for what you have in that Jeep... I probably should wish I had your job"
Now in his mind I'm most likely the one who came across as the *******.
