Default Good medium weight battery

So this info probably exists somewhere but i cant get the results i want using search. My napa battery that came with the car is donezo so i went to get a red top at napa and they wanted $216 with core, the battery adds 2 lbs in weight as well. I'm just looking for a decent battery with close to stock cca (weekend warrior car dont feel like trickle charging if i dont have to) that weighs 25-30 lbs. I added an intercooled supercharger kit and saving some weight would be nice. Thanks!

If you want a Redtop, check Amazon's prices. Currently running approx. $145-$155 and that is without trading in your old battery, and free shipping with Prime.

I'm still open to the red top but i originally thought it shaved about 10lbs.

I have had good luck so far with my Exide group 75 battery after 3 years. It has more CCA than OEM battery, is small and fairly lightweight and I got it at a great price. I do put it on a tender if I don't plan on driving for a week or so, just to be safe.

It's not that this 15 pounds is going to change my car drastically, but EBC (every bit counts). I added about 100lbs to the front of my car with my supercharger kit and I could feel the difference in the nose slightly so I'd like to get that weight back where I can, it's not like there is one part that weighs 100lbs I can just magically take off the car. Every 100lbs is roughly 10hp so why not save weight if I need a new battery anyways? People buy rims, seats, lights, fenders, carpet, glass etc. that safe even less than 15lbs but they serve a greater purpose. Just my 2 cents.

I'm in the market as of right now. The battery in my car suddenly died without warning. It was fine using the car all day yesterday, this morning I go down to get something out of the trunk and its completely dead. Vettes seem to be rough on conventional batteries plus the fact you wouldn't want it to leak down on your computer. If you have Amazon Prime you can get a red top for $155 plus tax, however they take five days for free delivery, not two. Advance is having a 20% promo online taking the Red Top to $183.99, plus tax. Pick up in less than an hour. Depends if you want to wait. This is for the 38/78 size, which will fit into a C5.

Every time I thought I'd seen everything on here, I read something like this. Who has the lightest cup holder?

Yeah-this thread makes me want to lose weight--aside from the health aspects! I think that I may try to gain about 2 horsepower by losing about 20 pounds of middleage body mass.

The goofy stock one unless it's weighted down with pocket change.

My wife has some 'really special' Chinese tea. Drink one large cup of it, in the evening; and you will lose 2 to 3 pounds the next morning while reading the paper (if you know what I mean).
