It’s perfect for taking that annoying edge off tire / road noise & some aftermarket exhausts in your coupe. NO need to rip out your carpet & interior! The precision pre cut BLOCKIT Sound Deadening System lays right over your carpet!
It still lets that sweet exhaust note come through when you get on it!

The durable UV protected top layer looks great and allows you to still use your cargo area. Feel free to place an aftermarket cargo mat on top.
Since it’s removable & reusable you can always take the Blockit out on track events. Install back for the trip home The BLOCKIT also helps keep your cargo/trunk area cooler by suppressing heat from underneath too!
All layers are bonded together using a unique infusion process. No glue means no toxic smell. Made in the USA! Raw materials are from the USA Too! Manufactured under strict ISO 9001-2008 standards! Patent Pending!

The mat looks very polished in the rear cargo area so I don't think that I will add an aftermarket cargo mat on top of it.

While commuting to work this morning on the freeway I really did notice a difference. I did not have to crank the radio way up and the voices and music were much clearer.

If you are looking for a real easy sound insulation solution I would recommend this product.

First drive to work this morning and I can tell you it makes a big difference. Those that say it doesn't must have some really frickn' loud exhausts.
It took the resonance away that the road puts through the rear hatch area (hatch floor, plastic) and the road noise from the tires is probably cut in half.
There's also a noticeable "quietness" inside the rear now that I never had before. I always had that "white noise" behind my head from all the noises coming from the rear hatch area. Now it sounds like the entire car is quieter.
It made such a difference I am no longer worried about putting dynamat or peel and seal in my car. I will however still do the peel and seal on the floor boards under the car because now that the rear is so much quiter I hear road noise from under the car... lol.

Overall, it's a great buy and I'm glad I bought mine!!

Not the kind that requires you to remove the carpet or anything. Just put two pads behind the seats and one pad in you truck, or cargo area for a coupe. I drove my car at 70+ MPH for a good ways last night and WOW!!! Much smoother and peacefull sound. The stereo sounded better and the car just seems so much quieter in the cab area. I have had a C6 coupe and now have a C6 vert, and I promise you, this thing works! Just wanted to shout out a nice mod.

Even with flaps closed, the drone was very annoying below 1,950. Most of my cruising is between 1,700 and 1,950 rpms in 6th gear with 4.10 gears. With the blockit installed, the drone is gone at these rpms with flaps closed. Not just reduced, but gone. Below 1,700 drone is reduced to a bearable level.

With muffler flaps open the drone is reduced with the kit, but still louder than my comfort level. But it's a moot point now.

So bottom line: I'd recommend(your hearing my vary) .
I can't say it's equal to the kits that require full interior dis-assembly since I didn't do that, but I definitely feel there is value in the product. If you are in Southern Calif and want to try in your car, come by and we'll throw it in and you can hear for yourself. Or just take my car for a test drive.

Great product. Can't wait to do a more extensive test in the spring, but initially this seems to be a great product !!

Super easy install - drop in and forget it. I have a coupe.
Big rear mat had the slits for rings.
Put my Stingray logo rear carpet on top of the mat and also put the mats behind the seats.
I can tell a difference in noise ; can hear the radio better and believe a long cruise will be far more pleasant.

I did notice the action of the Bose audio pilot (auto volume compensation) is much more noticeable now and I turned it off.

Interesting product. Wondering how thick it is? I have a Weather Tech cargo mat in the back of my C5 and would this in any way interfere with a good fit of that product?

The price is listed in the link they provide at the end of the fist post.

Will it fit under a sound partition that some of us might have in our FRCs or Z06s.

We used a Bruel & Kjaer ( #1 in sound and vibration equipment) Model 2250 Type 1 Sound Level Meter and it was ran by a trained sound engineer. We were real happy with the results.

We found out that it was even more effective for tire and road noise.
Helping keep the interior cooler was a bonus.

The cargo mat is 1" thick. However, it can "crush down" to about 1/8th if you have any cargo trays, accessories.
The pieces behind the seat are 3/4"

Many place the large cargo mat under a aftermarket carpet. No problem. I'm sure you could place it under a weather tech or such.

Yes. As mention above, it is 1" but it can be compacted down to 1/8th. It was not any issue with any of the compart dividers...etc in the C6 & C7.

However the shape is different for the FRC's and the coupe. We will be making it for the FRC & Z06

Default Very Interested BUT Confused

I am very interested! However I am confused. Only three pieces are mentioned and shown but as I read it there are two interior mats, a cargo area mat and presumably two sheets for behind the seats. I know I am missing something but what? Does the cargo mat flop over and cover the area behind the seats?

I'll check the write up again but it should state, that there is 3 pieces to the system.
One piece is pre cut to fit and lay right into the cargo area.
The other 2 pieces are rectangles. One for behind each seat. They just slip in place. If you tilt your seat forward, you will notice the slanted carpeted wall behind the seat. The mat leans against that slanted carpeted wall. Doesn't move. Stays up and in place. The carpet against the foam also works like velcro.

You really can't see these piece but some C6 guys use to place them under that carpet behind the seat. It was an very easy "lift, place, put the carpet back" Done. We have not done this with a C5 yet.

Hope that helps.

Ok got it............I really thought they covered the passenger carpets. My car has been tubbed so I would have to trim the rear cargo area cover. Is the material easily cut?

No the pieces behind the seat are easy drop ins that stop the noise that comes through that wall. A lot of tire noise seeps through.

If your looking to lay down sound deadener or damping under the carpet, under the seat. I would suggest our DeadMats.
(Shown below)
Light weight. Performance to weight ratio is unreal

You can check those packages on the same page http://store.tkoperformance.com/1997200412.html

Yes it is. The cargo mat that you would be trimming is 1" thick, so a long box cutter type knife works good.

Hey gang,
First please accept my apology for the delayed release of the C5 Blockit.
We had one product in front of this which took a little longer to wrap up. All the holidays and the weather (blizzards) didn't help.

We are about 1 week away from shipping these out.
Thank you for the orders. If you noticed your credit cards were not charged, its because we haven't run them and we won't until we are ready to ship.
If you have any questions always feel free to contact us either phone 800 778 9898 or via email sales@tkoperformance.com

Now with the C7 Blockit out, here are some positive posts I found

So bottom line: I'd recommend(your hearing my vary) .
I can't say it's equal to the kits that require full interior dis-assembly since I didn't do that, but I definitely feel there is value in the product. If you are in Southern Calif and want to try in your car, come by and we'll throw it in and you can hear for yourself. Or just take my car for a test drive.

Are there cut-outs around the Targa top holder brackets or does it have to be hand trimmed?

Yes it does come with the cut outs on the side. The picture above in the first post is a mat for a C7. It was to just help explain what the product is, 3 piece kit..etc.
However I have the C5 mat here and tomorrow I'll try and take a picture for you.
