Default 2001 Drivers Seat Wiring Harness with Telescopic Function

Hello All,

I purchased a 2001 C5 a few months back and have been restoring it back to a nice condition. It was a Hurricane Sandy salvage titled car but only 57,000 miles on it. Engine and trans were in good shape but the electrical left lots to be desired. So I am down to my last couple of things that I need to get back in order. This one is the telescopic function of my steering wheel. Looks like the previous owner put sports seats in the car but the drivers seat was not fitted with the telescopic wiring harness. So here is the info that I have:

My seat control module is a GM PN 10342158 SCM+T.....memory function as well.

I need to know a good part number for a wiring harness that will go with this module and make my telescoping feature active. I bought a harness online that has the telescopic connector BUT there must be different versions of this harness as the telescope in/out button does not work.....but when I push the button that makes the seat retract, the steering wheel telescopes out. Crazy I know, but that's what happens. So I need the wiring harness part number that would go with this seat module.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Mike

OK, need to digest your info. What I remember is there is a seat side (SCM) separate wiring harness from the SCM that has a Blue connector just allocated for the TSW. Sounds like you may have that.

We probably need to discuss on the phone. There are no year different harnesses.

I have your number I think from a direct email on here. I will give you a call later today. Working this morning. Didn't make sense to me that the wiring harness would have changed, but didn't know. The statement you made it correct about the blue plug. Its a 7 pin connector and its dedicated to nothing but the telescopic function. The forward and reverse switch ties up 3 pins, the output for the motor ties up two pins and the positional feedback ties up 2 pins......if I remember correctly. I am going to look up the info in my service manual, and ohm out the wiring harness to see if it has been modified.

The two seat interface connectors are C301 and C303 as shown here.
