New C5 owner!
I picked this Vette up yesterday from a dealer that was going to wholesale it. WOW what a difference from my 75'. Having fun learning about all the systems, and of course drive, drive, driving it! What a blast. Mike

Welcome to the C5 family. I can only imagine what a vast difference it is from your C3
Why were they going to wholesale it? Issues with the car? Sitting on the lot for an extended period of time?

A little more info
It has an automatic transmission/LS1 combo. It has a K&N air cleaner and the sticker says it is CARB compliant. Unknown exhaust upgrades but for sure mufflers, kind of loud but not annoying. It has 83K miles and I am the 7th owner per Carfax. The Carfax report also revealed a lot of maintenance has been done along the way. It started life in Arkansas went to Texas then to Colorado and finally here in Michigan the last five years. A couple of reasons it was headed to auction might be no one in their right mind buys a Corvette in Michigan this time of the year and second there are some issues, radio doesn't receive any stations and someone along the line screwed an XM receiver to the dash, also DIC message about TPMS. I also noticed the steering column does not lock and the cover around the column is loose. The HUD works great! and is the coolest feature on the car. I hope I can run at least a couple tanks of gas thru her before the salt flies. Mike

Congrats on getting your C5 - and yes, it sure is a lot different than a '75.
