These have been a huge hit with everyone for radio choice over the last couple months.

The DNN992 will have Garmin NAV built into the radio along with wifi hot spot connectivity. The DNN does not have Android Auto or Apple Carpley but will have MHL mirroring(9902S has this as well) to allow for phone mirroring

Dennis, in order to use the Apple Carplay (iPhone 6S) do both of these units allow direct USB connection through the front face of the unit or do you need to install an access cable in the back of the unit?

only the 9902 has Carplay
Connect to a USB which is rear connectivity just like your current Kenwood
