Aftermarket wheels
Hello all, new member looking for opinions. I've recently bought a 98 convertible with the stock wagon wheels which I'm looking to switch up for something more attractive. Also need all 4 tires so I don't need to keep the 17/ 18 stock wheel size. I've read some think switching to a 18/19 wheel size gives a better look. I'm not really looking for better performance, just appearance. In your opinions, is it better to stick with the stock size or increase to the 18/19 combo ? Does this change the handling of the car for better or worse, or no change ? Car is pewter, and opinions on wheel brand and finish appreciated as well. Thanks in advance for advice !

welcome to the forum! Wheels/tires are really up to your preference and how much $$$ you want to spend. Research here and talk to people...find out what you like. Many great companies: HRE, Fikse, CCW, Weld....the list goes on.

Plenty of wheel choices to consider - Cray, Forgestar, TSW, CCW, HRE, etc. Just depends on your budget and what look you want. Going to an 18/19 is a popular choice but nothing wrong with the 17/18 either if you go that route.
As for a good finish on the wheels for a pewter car, when I had my pewter '00 coupe I ran both chrome and silver painted wheels on it and both combos looked good. Another choice would be comp gray. I'm not a fan of the all black wheels but I've seen them on pewter and they do look pretty good.

Aftermarket chrome C6 Z-06 wheels in C5 Z-06 sizes. One inch wider then standard size. On the car 6 years, holding up nicely. And yes they are heavier than the stock wheel. No problem for me. Mine also is a 98.

I am expecting mine next week. I have a 99 Pewter FRC and I ordered Forgestar F14 18x9.5 and 19x11 front offset +50 rear +55 in gunmetal gray gloss finish. Good luck!

As it was mentioned above, it really depends on your style and what you want to spend. I have had stock 5-spokes, C5Z06 replicas and now my 19/19 HREs that I bought off of a forum member a couple years ago.
The only thing that limits you is your style and wallet.

There are many different wheel options out there for you to choose from. I had about 5 different options I was looking at when I decided to get my Cray Hawk wheels. Cray, CCW, Weld, TSW, are all quality wheels. It can be a hard choice, I haven't seen many C5's with the Cray Hawk wheels and its part of the reason I got them. I went with a 18/19 combo.

Thanks for the compliment! Competition Grey looks great with Black as well, it was one of my choices but ultimately decided to go with Matte Black and I'm loving it. Be sure to post pics when you get your wheels on!

Corvette ZO6 Rims On F Body Camaro
Hey I’m not sure what rims those are in the first pic in this thread but the ZO6 replicas are super hard to find here in 2020. I’m looking to get some to complete the look on an F Body Camaro. I’ve seen it done I just don’t know where to find those rims. Let me know, hopefully this thread can come back to life for some good 2020 adventures
