Default All Corvettes Are Red - WOW!!

Just finished reading "All Corvettes Are Red" and all I can say is WOW, what a good read!! So much info that the average enthusiast would never have any idea of otherwise. Who would have thought that it would have been such a seven and a half year constant struggle and all out fight to bring us this wonderful car? That so many of GM's upper execs. were such petulant, inept narcissists?!?! (Okay, maybe shoulda seen that one, LOL!)

Mickey RX70 had posted about the book and immediately sent me his copy after I responded to his post. Thanks again Mickey!! It was even better than I had hoped! I couldn't put it down until it was done.

We have both written our names and Forum names on the inside cover and I would now like to send it on to the next person who would like to enjoy it. I hope that it will end up with many, many names inside the covers. If we could fill it up, front and back, it would be cool if Dave Hill could eventually end up with it to keep!

I loved the last quote from him at the end of the book!!

Read it...couldn't put it down! Very detailed on the evolution of the C5. GM is a client of mine and some of the insights in this book paralleled my company's interaction with GM...mostly good interactions.

It is an excellent read. I read it many years ago, but would read it again. When Cedarberry gets through with it, I'd like to be next in line for the book.

I listen to the audio book "All Corvettes are red' offered by my library and really enjoyed it. So I went on line trying to find an hard copy. Found it, bought it, and read it. It does give a really great perspective of how the C5 was conceived and made. Anyone owning a C5 should definitely read it.

Would be cool if you guys put the state next to your screen names. That way we can keep track with which states it has been.

Yeah I really enjoyed reading it too! Sure makes you appreciate what they went through and also you can forgive them of their short comings when you realize that 'It only costs a few pennies more for a metal part instead of plastic' translates into mega bucks. If there were similar books about the other generations, then I'd read those as well!

Between All Corvettes are Red and the above books --- the Corvette story is pretty well covered.

Got the book when it was first released..have read it twice.
Fascinating insight as to how GM operates and what goes into bringing a brand new model car to life, from paper to the street !

I also asked for this way back when on another thread and would like to be remembered on someone's list. Like I said, we did this on my suggestion on an MG Replica forum where everybody signed the book before passing it on to the next member.

I was second and passed it on to Cedarberry. Would love to see how fast the names add up inside the cover!! Should be really cool!
